Please Help! Math program not recognizing CD drive

Hey all!

I’m a new Bottles user trying to make a sibling’s math program work on Zorin Linux (Ubuntu based distro).

So the way you install this program (Teaching Textbooks Math 6) is you execute the .exe from a CD that you insert into the computer, then every time the student wants to access a lesson, they insert the CD, and the program detects the CD drive and loads the lessons.

Once I directed bottles to the .exe file on the mounted CD drive, it installed and ran without a hitch right up until it tried to detect the lessons. Then it hangs for about 10-20 seconds before saying something like “CD not inserted”. I did some research, and though maybe the CD drive wasn’t correctly mounted as CD-ROM in the Wine config, but when I checked it was indeed mounted correctly. Is there any way to fix this issue? OR should I try to use a VM?

Also, if I’m missing any critical information here that you need, please let me know. Thanks in advance!
