How to update program that requires restart to complete?

I am attempting to update the Blizzard battle.net launcher (the official app as listed in the “Install Programs” section) via the official app’s update method.

Essentially, from the dropdown menu within the app, I’m clicking “Restart and install updates”.

From there, the app closes, does not reopen, and when it is relaunched from within my bottle, it is not updated/is not installing updates.

Is there an env I can set, or some other method, to allow me to update this app?

I am also wondering how to do this.

I tried reinstalling via Install Program >> Battle.net >> Install this Program in the same bottle. It went through the flows and completed, but when I restart Battle.net, I still see the update symbol.
