Can't open files from my explorer with a Bottles app

So I successfully installed Vegas Pro through Bottles, and it runs fine and everything. I created a desktop shortcut and it launches just fine from it, but trying to open a file through it doesn’t work at all.
I launched it through the terminal to see what was happening and this is what shows up before it crashes.

I assume there’s probably some command line argument I should add to the shortcut to load it properly but I have no idea what it would be. Any help would be appreciated :slight_smile:

Hi. Welcome to Bottles forum.

Two things for start assuming you want to open the file from your file browser and not from inside of vegas pro:

  1. Are you using Flatpak version and if yes, did you give Bottles permissions to other folders (using Flatseal or manually)
  2. Did you add “-a” argument to the created shortcut?

I’m using the flatpak version and the permissions are all set accordingly, since I can open everything fine in the program.
I tried using the -a shortcut but it doesn’t open at all, using the terminal shows it gets the error bottles-cli run: error: argument -a/--args: expected one argument.

Actually I spoke a little too soon. Opening the shortcut normally gives the above error, but opening a FILE with the shortcut does at least open the app. Though that doesn’t fully work either as it just opens the program normally and does not open the file. I can’t see anything meaningful in here but maybe there’s something I’m missing.
