Having trouble opening a guitar sim called bias fx 2.
When it was installing a few fonts are missing.
when the program is launched the window is black.
I’ve left it to see if it’s just taking a long time but no.
Any help is welcomed.

This kinda reminds me of an error I had with one program. What helped for me was to disable DXVK in Settings. You can try it first and if it doesn’t work try to run Bottles from terminal and see if there are any logs that could be of help - flatpak run com.usebottles.bottles. If there’s something there and you use the newest version from Flathub (51.5) then post it here.

I did disable disable DXVK.

So we have 2 errors here:
This one probably means you don’t have any MIDI synthesizer installed on your system. You should install and configure one in such a way that you are able to play .mid music files on your normal media player.
That one is a missing dependency. Unfortunately I didn’t learn exactly which. Only result I got was dotnet 4.5.2, but I’m not sure if it would help (you can install it from dependencies screen). I also got a result from Microsoft Learn but it was about UWP and if that’s the case then we can assume it won’t work no matter what (Wine doesn’t have UWP support yet which means Bottles also doesn’t).
I also found BIAS FX entry in WineHQ. Wasn’t tested in long time, but the ratings don’t give much hope.
Did it change anything? Or was it still a black screen?

And yeah that’s not good news
disabling DXVK caused no change.

I have no idea what to try next if there are no errors and it is still a black screen.
This is the attached bug in WineHQ: WineHQ Bugzilla – Bug 44985 – Many applications using CEFv3 Angle OpenGL ES 2.0 for H/W Accelerated Canvas and WebGL display blank/black windows (disabling or removing 'libglesv2.dll' is a workaround)
There were some workarounds posted that were said to be working, but I don’t know how to test it in Bottles. (DLL Overrides option is in settings, but I never used it).
It also was mentioned that it shouldn’t be a problem in Wine from version 7.0 above, but I guess it’s not the case since I assume you are using either Soda 7.0-9 runner or something else based on Wine 7.0+

Also the Midi is still undetected in your bottle.

That’s my luck getting the one program to run that is a bugger to get to run lol
I would like it to run spent a lot of $$$ on it and it sounds amazing.
Thanks for your help I learned a few things.
I’ll add a dependency or two mess with settings see what happens.
But i think its a no go.
I’ll ask at the positive grid forum, why not.
