App config files location

Hello,

I have an older installtion of a Windows app directly under Wine, and it’s config files (keyboard shortcuts etc.) are under the following directory:

~/.wine/drive_c/users/myuser/Documents/AppName/

Now i’ve installed the same app under Bottles and I want to copy the old config files to the new install, but I can’t find the new config directory. Help will be appreciated.

Hello, welcome to Bottles forum.

If it’s the same app it should be in the same folder once you get to drive_c.

You can access your bottle’s drive_c folder by clicking on 3 dots menu at the top and clicking “Browse Files…”. Then just locate the folder you want.
Keep in mind that every bottle that you create doesn’t have access to other bottles.

Thanks for answering.

After exporting the bottle configuration I found everything under

~/.var/app/com.usebottles.bottles/data/bottles/bottles/AppName/

Problem solved.
